Click here for a short description.
Description: The NoteServer Keyboard Interface consists of the following part:
- The GUIDO image: This area contains the score rendered by the NoteServer.
- The Zoom-bar: This scrollbar is used to adjust the zoomfactor for the
rendered image.
- The GMN area: In this textfield the
GUIDO-Music-Notation is shown. You can click into
this field and change the GMN text manually.
- The note-duration selector: These switches are used to select the duration
of the generated notes. You can select one or
two dots after the note. To deselect dots, click again on the selected dot.
- The keyboard-tuning selector: These
switches are used to determine the octave
of the middle c-key on the keyboard.
- The accidental selector: These switches are used to
select which kind of accidental
is used for the black keys. To deselect an
accidental simply click on the selected
accidental. If no accidental is selected,
black keys generate GMN for chromatic notes, if
an accidetal is selected GMN for diatonic
notes is gererated.
- The keyboard: The keyboard is used to
generate GMN. The switches described above
determine the duration, octave and accidentals for these notes.
- The rest button: The rest button generates a rest for the selected duration.
- The send button: The send button sends the
GMN text to the NoteServer. After the request is
finished, the new picture will be shown. While
the request is being processed, you can continue to
edit the GMN text.
- The auto load checkbox: If this box is checked,
everytime the GMN text is changed by the keyboard, or
the rest button, or the zoombar is changed, a new
request will be sent automatically to the
NoteServer. Manual changes to the GMN text are not
send automatically. If you have a slow connection to
the server or if you experience network problems,
you should deactivate this feature to keep traffic
low.
- The play and stop button for a MIDI play back
of the current GMN string.
If you experience any problems with the NoteServer Keyboard Interface please send us an
email.
The NoteServer Keyboard Interface has been written by Martin Friedmann.
